The buyer wants to sell it to someone who appreciates the rarity and value of his car, apparently, more than the buyer him or her self was willing to appreciate.
$2600? I hope this "enthusiast" owner looking for an "enthusiast" buyer bought the car for about a grand less and put effort it because, when I look at this, I see one muddy downhill snow-slide with rocks and sticks in the way.
I read this as: "I'd like someone to buy my car and love it more then I did."
Fuck off.

I didn't think of it like that, now seems more of someone maybe trying to take advantage of enthusiasts love for these cars.

My take was "I'm looking for someone who's willing to overlook huge flaws and pay way too much money for my POS, but I'd like to stroke their ego and fool them into buying it, as in, "only you , dear enthusiast, are special enough to appreciate this special car, so you deserve it and it deserves you." And it's not like it's an e30 M3 or an e39 M5, it's a damn 93 Touring, it's not really special enough to be marketed as an enthusiast's car. It is, but it's on the borderline, and if a car's enthusiast status is not 100%, don't advertise it as such. Some poor idiot who truly loves BMWs but doesn't know shit is going to buy this thing down the road thinking it's a performance car only to have the engine blow up on him three weeks later.

Love the great job he did on the panel gaps.
I feel he is leaving something out about why the hood is replaced, missing bumper cover, and why it looks like that fender is kicked in and doesn't match.
